Omni-channel communication
Messages sent out over different channels, where the customer service agent has a full view of all conversations that took place. For example, a consumer might begin a conversation through a chatbot on a website, and then move the conversation at a different time to WhatsApp or SMS. The agent working with the customer would have a full view of all conversations that took place previously, so that the customer does not need to summarize previous conversations.
Opt-out
An Opt-out refers to the process of a customer removing themselves from a database in order to not be contacted again. With SMS this is done automatically when a customer texts an opt-out keyword into a Dedicated Reply Number or SMS Shortcode. Businesses or individuals will need to instruct the recipient how to opt-out in their campaigns in order for them to automatically remove themselves from receiving future text messages. e.g. Reply STOP to opt-out
