SMS API

Send and receive SMS from your applications, through an HTTP API (REST) or SMPP.

What is it?

The e-MC SMS API connects your applications to the e-MC messaging platform. Your application submits the message; e-MC routes it to the recipient’s operator and sends you back its delivery status. SMS that your customers send you follow the opposite path.

Two connection modes are available: an HTTP API (REST) for web, mobile and business applications, and SMPP for platforms that exchange large volumes. Our team helps you with interoperability with your databases and information system.

Why a company needs it

  • Messages triggered by your systems

Confirmations, alerts, OTP codes: these SMS start from an event in your application, not from manual input. An API plugs them straight into your processes.

  • Tracking of every message

Delivery reports tell you whether a message arrived and, if not, why. Your application can then retry, fix a number or alert your teams.

  • Access to African networks

Each operator has its own particularities. Going through a platform that is already connected saves you from connecting to operators one by one.

  • Replies that come back to you

Inbound SMS let your customers reply, and your application process their answer.
