SMS Gateway

The gateway between your applications and mobile networks, in both directions.

What is it?

An SMS gateway is the crossing point between your applications and mobile operator networks: it carries your messages to phones and brings back to you the SMS your customers send. e-MC designs gateways to receive the SMS sent by your users or customers and integrate them into your information system.

It therefore handles both directions of the flow: outbound, from your systems to mobiles, and inbound, from mobiles to your systems.

Why a company needs it

  • A single crossing point

Your applications do not have to talk to each operator: the gateway centralises SMS flows between your system and mobile networks.

  • Receiving as much as sending

When your customers need to write to you (registration, order, keyword), you need a gateway able to receive their SMS and hand them over to your system.

  • Plug into your existing data

Received SMS feed your existing databases and applications, without re-keying.

  • Keep control of the flows

Outbound and inbound messages go through one identified point, which simplifies tracking and operations.
